Peso slides to third straight record low as market rebounds
The peso weakened 0.22 percent to a third consecutive record-low close of P62.40 per US dollar on Tuesday, surpassing Friday’s record-low close of P62.265, while the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) rebounded 2.31 percent to 6,093.89 as investors hunted for bargains and took comfort from stronger domestic manufacturing data.
